Il est incapable de reproduire les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de son p\u00e8re. Daguerre exploite cette faiblesse. Laissant Isidore accumuler les \u00e9checs, il se lance secr\u00e8tement dans la mise au point d\u2019un nouveau proc\u00e9d\u00e9 qui deviendra quelques ann\u00e9e plus tard le daguerr\u00e9otype.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daguerre progresse r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. En 1835, il obtient des images positives avec des temps de pose beaucoup plus courts qu\u2019avec l\u2019h\u00e9liographie ou le physautotype. En 1837, il parvient \u00e0 les fixer. Utilisant des techniques apprises aupr\u00e8s de Ni\u00e9pce, associ\u00e9es \u00e0 d\u2019autres enti\u00e8rement originales, Daguerre est alors en possession d\u2019un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 complet qui produit en quelques minutes des images \u00e0 la chambre obscure. L\u2019h\u00e9liographie et le physautotype sont d\u2019ores et d\u00e9j\u00e0 supplant\u00e9s avant m\u00eame d\u2019avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 divulgu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daguerre propose donc \u00e0 Isidore de divulguer les trois proc\u00e9d\u00e9s mais sachant que seul le sien sera exploitable commercialement, il impose que soit chang\u00e9 l\u2019intitul\u00e9 de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Ni\u00e9pce-Daguerre en une \u00absoci\u00e9t\u00e9 sous la raison de commerce Daguerre et Isidore Ni\u00e9pce pour l\u2019exploitation de la d\u00e9couverte invent\u00e9e par Daguerre et feu Nic\u00e9phore Ni\u00e9pce \u00bb. Celui-ci est \u00e9merveill\u00e9 et propose que l\u2019invention soit achet\u00e9e par le gouvernement fran\u00e7ais pour \u00aben faire don au monde entier\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une rente annuelle \u00e0 vie de 4000 francs sera vers\u00e9e \u00e0 chacun des inventeurs c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire Isidore Ni\u00e9pce et Daguerre. Ce dernier recevra une rente suppl\u00e9mentaire de 2000 francs pour son proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de d\u00e9cor changeant du Diorama.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le lundi 19 ao\u00fbt 1839, l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des Sciences proc\u00e8de \u00e0 la divulgation des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de l\u2019h\u00e9liographie, de physautotype et du daguerr\u00e9otype. La pr\u00e9sentation qu\u2019en fait Arago \u00e9clipse instantan\u00e9ment les deux premiers.<br>Le nom de Ni\u00e9pce est \u00e0 peine mentionn\u00e9 qu\u2019il est aussit\u00f4t oubli\u00e9. L\u2019engouement est alors indescriptible. Dans Paris s\u2019ouvre par dizaine des boutiques o\u00f9 tout un chacun peut venir se faire \u00ab daguerr\u00e9otyper \u00bb. C\u2019est ce qu\u2019on a appel\u00e9 la \u00ab daguerr\u00e9otypomanie \u00bb qui se r\u00e9pand aussi en province, en Europe et surtout aux \u00c9tats-Unis d\u2019Am\u00e9rique, o\u00f9 le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de Daguerre conna\u00eetra sa plus longue existence. Isidore publie en 1841, un petit livre intitul\u00e9 \u00ab <em>Historique de la d\u00e9couverte improprement nomm\u00e9e daguerr\u00e9otype, pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 d\u2019une notice de son v\u00e9ritable inventeur Joseph-Nic\u00e9phore Ni\u00e9pce<\/em> \u00bb. Le fils de l\u2019inventeur y d\u00e9verse toute la ranc\u0153ur accumul\u00e9e envers Daguerre et tente de justifier son attitude lors des changements successifs qui ont fait passer son p\u00e8re au second plan de l\u2019invention. C\u2019est le d\u00e9but d\u2019un long processus qui verra progressivement le nom de Ni\u00e9pce venir s\u2019inscrire de plus en plus fr\u00e9quemment en t\u00eate des historiques sur l\u2019invention de la photographie pour \u00eatre reconnu finalement comme l\u2019inventeur de la photographie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Le contrat d\u2019association
